Spider Solitaire is a Classic Solitaire Game
The object of spider solitaire is to set all the cards in rows according to value and suit. When you are finished each row should have all cards of the same suit. Therefore, the successful culmination of Spider Solitaire finds four rows of thirteen cards each. Or in other words, all the clubs in one row in order from King to ace and all the hearts in another row in order from King to ace and so on.
Layout for Spider Solitaire
The cards are layed out in ten piles called tableaus, meaning a row or pile of cards that are meant to be packed or built upon. Groups of cards in sequence and of the same suit may be moved as one unit and that accounts for a lot of the strategy in Spider solitaire. An example of a group in sequence of the same suit would be the ten, nine, eight all of clubs. At the start of the game 6 cards each are dealt to the first 4 piles, 5 cards each to the remaining piles. The top card is face up.
Notes: (1) All tableau piles must be filled before dealing.(2)When a sequence of 13 cards down in suit from King to Ace is formed, it should be removed from play (usually done automatically if you are using computer software).
Remember, though you may build down in any suit, building down in sequence is your ultimate goal to win spider solitaire, therefore staying in the same suit is your priority
